Lobstah

We finally arrived at the Camp on Bailey's Island at about 8pm, after dark.  Paul and Jane showed us around and Paul helped us carry our backpacks and groceries into the house.  We were still full from our lunch, so we just munched on grapes and had a glass of wine while I checked out the kitchen and Don checked out the internet.  Soon it was time for bed and we were tired and ready, despite the time difference.

The next morning dawned sunny and blue.  I slept until 8:30 and then got up and had my coffee in the sunshine on the great wrap-around porch.  We made some breakfast and enjoyed that on the porch too.
Don set up the bikes while I strolled around the neighborhood looking at the shore, the water, the many little islands, the beach houses.  Then we decided to go into town Brunswick--to find some maps of the area and to see about suggested bike routes.  The AAA guy was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of good information and brochures and maps to study.

On the way home we stopped at the lobster shack and ordered two of Sheldon's best lobsters to be steamed and ready at 6pm.  He had just come in from his lobster traps and had a good haul of squirming lobsters in the tanks just waiting to be selected.

Back home for some lunch, a look at our maps and an afternoon nap and then back to pick up our lobsters for dinner. Sheldon pulled two big lobsters out of the steaming pot and popped them into a styrafoam box for us to take home.  Yum,yum.  They were so sweet and delicious.  We just ate them hot from the box with some melted butter, tomato soup and a green salad.

We had a chat with Pauline and Jerry on Skype, Don worked on his photos and I started the blog and then it was off to bed.
